Is the VNUS-Closure/Celon method painful?
Patients report none or very little pain.
Are there side effects?
In some cases, patients may feel a slight tension along the shrunken vein in the thigh after the treatment.
What anaesthetic is required?
The VNUS-Closure/Celon method can be performed under local anaesthetic as an outpatient treatment or under a full anaesthetic.
How soon will I be mobile after the treatment?
Usually you will be able to resume your normal activities within a few days; sports are possible after only a week.
What happens after the treatment?
After treatment you should go for regular walks. It is recommended that you wear compression hose for about 3 weeks.
